MTL Wanderers’ prodigal son Muzipasi Mwangonde, who was not featured in the nomads’ games against Civo United and Dwasco last weekend, is reported to have pocketed K15,000 from Bakili Bullets as signing fee.
Mwangonde accompanied the nomads on their trip to Lilongwe and Dwangwa but was not on the line-ups against both Civo and Dwasco, having reportedly been blocked by his former team.
Bullets’ chairman Hassam Jussab confirmed his team did not clear Mwangonde despite media reports that his team had settled the player’s issue with Wanderers.
“I have already informed Wanderers general secretary Aubrey Monjeza that Mwangonde took a K15,000 signing fee from Bakili Bullets before going back to Wanderers. If he pays back that money, we will clear him to play for Wanderers forever,” said Jussab.
Monjeza confirmed on Tuesday that he talked to Jussab on the issue: “Yes Jussab called me yesterday. We are paying them today and we hope the player will be cleared this afternoon. We will also clear Chikondi Banda, who is remaining with Bullets after completing a one-year loan period.”
