Pay day at MTL
I will start by sending my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to A Chair following the elimination of his beloved Bakili Bullets from the lucrative BP Top 8 competition.
I am actually feeling guilty for giving Madala false hopes when I predicted that his team would storm into the final alongside Moyale Barracks, who are facing MTL Wanderers in the final this afternoon.
Frankly speaking, I knew pretty well that A Chair’s team would be grilled but I did not want to draw the wrath of A Chair who could have easily laid the blame on me just as he did with the opposition after the violent acts of his team..
The blame by Madala on the opposition took me by surprise because I had already condemned BP Malawi on this column for putting such huge sums of money at stake. So the blame is on BP and not the opposition or BB supporters.
From ‘football politics’ let’s now look at how the BP spoils are going to be shared.
For a long time fans at Lali Lubani have complained that they have gone without pay after four years of strong devotion to the club. My humble duty this week is to disclose to the nomads’ fans that BP Malawi will pay them everything in arrears this afternoon.
A cool K5m plus a beautiful trophy cup should end the hunger at Lali Lubani.
