The K3 million Chibuku Super League prize presentation ceremony for the 2002/2003 season at which Bakili Bullets will get crowned champions for the third time in row will take place on Thursday at Fam’s Mpira House in the commercial capital Blantyre.
Fam public relations and marketing officer Isabel Maziya said the association is looking forward to the day after the league season finally came to an end.
“We are eagerly looking forward to the ceremony and we are happy that the league season has officially been concluded as the sponsors wished,” said Maziya.
Chibuku Products Limited (CPL) marketing manager George Macheka said the sponsors are happy that Bakili Bullets and Civo responded to their request for the last match of the season to be played.
“We are pleased that the teams were responsive to our demand because we believe the league championship is decided on the pitch,” said Macheka.
The player of the season and top goal scorer will get K30,000 each while the upcoming player of the season and best reporter will receive K20,000 apiece.
Bullets, as champions, will cart home a cool K1 million while runners up MTL Wanderers will get K500,000. MDC United, on third place, will receive K200,000.
