Tigers, Moyale on away missions
by: Leonard Sharra, 8/29/2003, 2:42:31 PM

Admarc Tigers and Moyale Barracks will be on similar missions as they leave their bases to face stubborn opponents Dwasco and Blue Eagle in the K30.7m BP Top 8 competition, which took off last week.
Tigers travel to the cane fields in Dwangwa where they will seek revenge against the lakeshore giants who sent them packing from Embassy Trophy earlier this season.
Former Tigers player Missi Kampira was the man behind the destruction of the Tigers when he hit the two goals that sank the Tigers. The man could be on the rampage again this afternoon as the Kau-Kau boys step into the Chitowe Stadium again.
However, this is a different competition and what is on stake is far much higher than what was on offer during the Embassy competition. Because of this, the visitors will not sit and watch Kampira do what he did last year at the same venue.
The Tigers have potential match winners like young Jacob Ngwira, Fundi Akidu and Ramsey Mpinganjira. These will be the key men in Tigers’ mission to revenge the 2-0 defeat.
At Nankhaka ground on Sunday it will be the same song of revenge when the Mzuzu-based soldiers tangle with uncompromising cops in what is expected to be another thriller.
With fresh memories of the 3-1 loss they suffered at the hands of the Eagles in the Super League second round at the same venue, the soldiers are likely going to tread carefully at the Police Headquarters.
Eagles had a more serious in the build up to the Top 8 show. They had a number of friendly games against reputable teams like MTL Wanderers, Silver Strikers and Tigers. They also met the national team at Kamuzu Academy in Kasungu.
Word from Area 30 also has it that the Eagles have been in camp, preparing for this clash.
But as soldiers, who are supposed to be ready for any assault, Moyale should be equally prepared for the Eagles.
But the soldiers need not to be reminded about Eagles’ hired gun Dick Malidadi who took a leading role in the soldiers’ torture the last time.
