Mzuzu to host U-23 tie
by: Our Correspondent, 10/10/2002,

The Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has said Mzuzu will host the Under-23 Cosafa return soccer match between Malawi and South Africa on October 26 at Mzuzu Stadium.
Fam President John Zingale told a meeting with Northern Region Football Committee (NRFC) officials on Sunday in Mzuzu that he was in the region to see if the stadium was ready to host the match.
According to Mzuzu Stadium Manager Aston Msukwa the stadium will be ready before the day of the match.
This will be the first international game in Mzuzu since 2001 when the senior national team beat Zambia 1-0 during Malawi Republic Anniversary Celebrations. The development follows a request by the NRFC and soccer lovers in the region to have an international game in the North.
In the first leg in South Africa, the under-23 side held the South Africans to a two-all draw.
