Stanbic Bank Malawi has embarked on a campaign to court students from various colleges in the country to open accounts with the bank in what it has termed a drive to address students’ “specific requirements and needs.”
Stanbic Bank has given out brochures to students at Mzuzu University, Bunda and Chancellor Colleges, Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN), Polytechnic, Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA) and the College of Medicine through which it is selling its products.
“At Stanbic Bank, we are aware that a student has specific requirements and needs and as such we are committed to giving you innovative products that are suitable and relevant to you,” read the brochures.
The bank said it is looking at both the students’ current needs and their future requirements as professionals.
Stanbic has spiced up the campaign with a competition in which students who open accounts with the bank stand chances of winning K1,500 to be deposited straight to their new accounts.
Students with existing accounts also stand chances of winning Stanbic branded T-shirts, drinking bottles and school bags, among other prizes.
The bank is also holding field days where social activities take centre stage in the colleges. Such events have already taken place at Mzuzu University, Bunda College and Chancellor Colleges.
This weekend, Stanbic will take the events to the Polytechnic where students from MCA, College of Medicine, KCN Blantyre campus and the Polytechnic are expected to socialise and win various prizes.
