| First lady hosts ladies tea party |

First Lady Ethel Mutharika is Wednesday hosting a charity fund-raising tea party at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre.
In a press statement issued Tuesday by the State House press office, Madame Mutharika is in the process of finalising the establishment of her foundation to be called The Ethel Mutharika Foundation.
The foundation, whose vision is to empower the women of Malawi, will provide the platform for the First Lady to initiate programmes intended to support Malawians of all political affiliations in their socioeconomic development endeavours, according to the statement.
The Ladies Tea Party is part of the prelaunch activities for the Foundation and it has been scheduled for 2 PM, the statement added.
