My Prediction
by Leonard Sharra, 20 August 2004 - 15:42:52
Silver woes continue
Last week I predicted that Bakili Bullets would crown themselves Bakili Muluzi Super League champions with five games in hand but the people’s team met some trouble after facing government-sponsored side Civil Service United (Civo) in the Capital City.
The Bingu wa Mutharika boys stabbed the Bakili Muluzi troops to delay the impending party at BCA Hill. Congratulations to Bingu and my condolences to Atcheya.
My other condolence messages go to lower Shire giants Illovo and Mzadd who are likely to be relegated from the Super League after faring miserably. Pepani mwasiyana nazo za Atcheya.
Two other teams are also to leave the stage but for other reasons, I am not mentioning the teams. Adzayamba kundinamizila.
This week, the column’s focus is on the game between MTL Wanderers at Silver Strikers, who are meeting at the giant Chichiri Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
With honorary champions Bakili Bullets on the verge of crowning themselves champions, Wanderers and Silver are battling for the second slot. My humble duty, therefore, is to declare, who is going to be number two to Bullets.
I do not need to beat about the bush on this issue. Everybody knows how Silver is struggling at the moment. The bankers akuvulalira mkati and there is no way they can stop Wanderers after failing to beat teams like Mzadd. The Capital City giants will be crashed by Wanderers who are rightful candidates for the second place.
