Macholowe releases Chigawenga
by Maclan Kanyang'wa, 04 August 2004 - 19:10:55

Ever heard of Macholowe and the inmates crew? If you have not, then you are in for a surprise to hear that Clive Macholowe who was pardoned recently from Zomba Central Prison is releasing a ten track album Chigawenga.
But how does Chigawenga relate to this man? You will soon realise that the music itself is a story of one man, Macholowe, who gets into trouble with the law and gets locked up in jail. He relates this personal experience not only to entertain but to teach.
Then there is this song; Nkhani Zambirimbiri which literally translates into ‘Lots of Stories to Tell’. Macholowe has indeed a lot of stories to tell thus he does it through songs such as Tithokoze Mulungu, Ndalakwa Chani, Usalire Jan, Malaika, Zimbabwe Ndedu Tose, Kunja Kwaopsa and Kodi Mulibe Chisoni.
Chigawenga is being recorded at Prosounds Studio and is produced by Ralph Ching’amba. It is also being shot on video will be out soon
