| Sun Village invites Tanzanian boxers |

Sun Village Boxing Promotions (SVBP) has invited two Tanzanian boxers for non-title professional bouts next month.
This was disclosed by SVBP boss Lada Chimbalanga at the end of a boxing tournament he organised at Upper Mzuzu Stadium last Sunday.
“The boxers are Daud Muhuzi and Bayaza Mwambeni,” Chimbalanga said, adding, “the bouts will take place at Sun Village in Liwonde and in Blantyre at dates to be announced later”.
“It is my intention to invite many professional boxers from outside the country to fight our boxers here but the problem is that we do not have many top potential boxers to fight foreign reputable fighters,” he said.
Muhuzi will fight John Masamba while Mwambeni will take on much improved Peter Mkandawire in 10-round contests.
“Because of few experienced fighters this is the reason I have invited only two boxers from Tanzania to meet Masamba and Mkandawire, otherwise they would have been more than that. The two have shown signs of doing well against outside fighters,” he explained.
Chimbalanga promised Mzuzu boxing fans last Sunday that next time SVBP will stage several amateur supporting bouts and two professionals bouts to entertain them.
“This time we will start our show in good time for the people to enjoy boxing fun,” he assured the fans.
