The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) on Saturday launched its website which, according to its president Henry Chibowa, will start operating later this month and will be accessed on www.sulom.mw.
Briefing delegates during an annual general meeting (AGM) held at Chiwembe Technical Centre on Saturday, Chibowa said the launching of the league’s website was a major step as it will improve communication between the top-flight league body and all the stakeholders.
“We presented a proposal to our sponsors TNM who have since given us their seal of approval,” said Chibowa.
The Sulom president said among other things, the website will contain information on league update, fixtures, results, log table statistics and news.
“There will also be statistics that come with the management of the league, club profiles, Sulom executive profiles as well as the body’s four-year strategic plan,” said Chibowa, adding that it will also include statistics of the league for the past three seasons.
The Sulom president said to that effect, an IT specialist will be engaged and will be responsible for updating the web.
Chibowa also said the website will have a page where companies and organisations will advertise their products which will help boost the body’s revenue.
He further told the gathering that the website will be linked to sponsors TNM where people will have access to view their products.
