In a bid to have a healthy workforce which will in turn lead to increased productivity, Stanbic Bank (Malawi) Limited has introduced an employee wellness programme through which employees and their immediate family members will have an opportunity to undergo counselling on some of their problems.
Stanbic Bank marketing manager Rick Chikwekwe said the programme has been made possible in partnership with the International Counselling and Advisory Services ( ICAS).
“Through the programme, our employees and their family members will be able to have their problems like stress, financial or even family matters discussed with experts and solutions offered.
“We understand that for every staff member to perform they need peace of mind. Balancing the demands of work and family life isn’t always easy. Sometimes all you need is information but don’t know where to get it. So we believe the introduction of the service would enable our staff members to have a peace of mind which in turn will result in improved services for the bank,” he said.
Chikwekwe said to access the service, each employee of the bank will be dialling a toll-free number at any time of the day to get assistance.
“Counselling will either be via the phone or arrangements can be made for a face to face counselling at a location and time convenient to the staff member,” he added.
