A Limbe-based woman, Rose Kabwazi, swept the stakes in the Chibuku Products Limited’s (CPL) Zobanduka promotion on Saturday, winning the grand prize of a 16-seater Toyota Hiace minibus.
Mathias Lyson Banda of Cobbe Barracks in Zomba and F. Gama of Rumphi won sewing machines.
Samuel Kapira of Ekwendeni and Samuel Zavedo of Bangwe got bicycles while M. Thomas of Blantyre and Nevi Mathyanga of Mbame also in Blantyre won cellphones.
National Lotteries Board compliance and operations manager Ofwa Alide made the draw that elevated Kabwazi to the ranks of a minibus owner.
Packaging Industries Malawi Limited marketing manager Nyakhokho Nsona drew the other six winning entries.
It was sweet paytime for the seven. The competition drew more than two million entries and just over the months the promotion ran, CPL managed to push about six million litres of Chibuku onto the market, according to CPL marketing manager Khwesi Msusa.
He said it was only fair that the company rewards its customers.
“We will continue to come up with more promotions like these to reward people for the loyalty they heep on us,” he said.
The downpour that descended upon New Dzaone Entertainment Centre in Lunzu, Blantyre, could not stop the fun.
With Thomas Chibade, Andrew Matrauza and Saul Chembezi up on stage to entice patrons to a jive afternoon, the rains were nothing but showers of blessings to cool the busy bodies on the dancefloor.
Twaliki ‘Muhone’ Wisiki and Gift Mabeya Mbeya were there coordinating the show. |
