Maloto Vibrations was the toast of the day on Saturday evening at the hot Chilomoni Liquor Garden where the band not only boasted of good patronage but also earned praises.
Patrons to the Gardens were treated to a mixture of vibes from notable reggae musicians such as Cultures’ Joseph Hill and late Evison Matafale.
The fun started with Maloto’s upcoming star Steven Lifesa dishing out reggae hits by Hill. Then Robert Piyo came on stage with full force doing his famous traditional number Wokondedwa Wanga.
Piyo’s magic forced people to go on the dance floor in pairs especially when Piyo sang .. “ndidzakugulira ndege..” ( I shall buy you a plane).
The dancing patrons sang along “uzikadya ku hotela” (you shall be eating at the hotel).
Focus was also on the smart lead guitarist Irunga Msuku who played with expertise.
When Piyo announced Mlaka Maliro’s coming on stage, there was applause.
Mlaka impressed fans when he did Nkhondo from his third Nkhondo album. He then dished out Mlamu and many more other numbers.
