Kache new gospel gem
by Felix Malamula, 10 July 2006 - 07:54:27
Listening to Gilbert Kache’s songs from his 10-track album, Yesu Ndiye Pothawira, you would have the impression that sometimes people miss the best by ignoring little or completely unknown talent.
Backed by the Area 24-based Jericho Band, Kache’s songs paint a picture of a singer who took his time to come up with the stuff. The title track itself ––Yesu Ndiye Pothawira––is a message of salvation to the destitute and those who have nothing to lean on.
“People will love the song and those who have already bought the album are expressing happiness with the track,” said Kache, before disclosing that the other hit that will definitely inspire many souls would be the Tumbuka hit Yesu Wakwiza (Jesus is coming).
In Yesu Wakwiza, Kache is reminding Christians and mankind the world over that Jesus is coming and is coming very soon. In Mbuye Ithani, a Lomwe song meaning ‘Come Lord’, Kache is asking Christ to come and redeem the world.
It is another song that people would want to listen to.
“I believe people will love the whole album because it is a combination of different tunes,” said Kache.
Recorded at Nali Studio in Lilongwe, Yesu Ndiye Pothawira has Yesu Mfumu, Senza Mtanda, Onditeteza and Mzimu Woyera making part of the whole gospel music dish.
Yesu Ndiye Pothawira is was released in April and is already on the market.
“I ask people to buy, listen to the music and appreciate the talent that has been invested in the album,” said Kache.
