Fam seems to be lurching from one crisis to another. The troubled association was yesterday taken to task by some Super League clubs who have expressed concern over the association’s failure to communicate with the teams on national team call-ups.
MDC United general secretary Gregory Mhango warned yesterday that in future his team will have to think twice before releasing players for national duty.
“Just this week they went ahead to call our coach Dan Dzinkambani and four of our players for a select team without any communication. They should not act as if they own the clubs,” Mhango said.
Wanderers chairman Humphrey Mvula also said his team got no official communication from Fam regarding the call up of five Wanderers players as well as coach Stuart Mbolembole.
“They don’t even have the common courtesy to say we would like to have your players for national cause. It’s very pathetic,” Mvula said.
Total Big Bullets general secretary Krishna Achuthan echoed the sentiments. |
